These scores are examples of pieces I wrote and arranged for piano, string quartet and myself

Forget Again- Originally recorded as a solo piece of myself singing and playing piano, I recently arranged it for piano and string quartet. It was recorded in April of 2026, and is in the editing stages to be released this fall.

The song is about the changing of seasons, how every time a new season comes it is easy to forget anything that existed before it. (Maybe this would not be relatable to people who don’t experience extreme seasons such as I do in Ontario-our summer is so hot how can it ever be -30 degrees? But then our winter is so cold how can I ever go outside in shorts?) In the song I relate this metaphorically to changes in life seasons. How when you are going through something, either good or bad, it can be easy to forget what came before it and what will come back around.

Reflections- This is the song that inspired my desire to arrange a project for strings, piano and voice. The slow moving harmony allowed for space to write lush string parts that animated the intensity of the lyrics. It was also recorded in April of 2026, to be edited and released this fall.

As the title suggests, the song is about reflecting on yourself. Comparing where you are to what you see from other people. Even though you know comparison isn’t helpful, you can’t help but feel you’re missing something that everyone else knows. It is also about career struggle and how it affects relationships; being so passionate in life but not quite finding where you fit in. Knowing you are not where you thought you would be at this point, but slowly understanding a life that is fulfilling is better than chasing a life of what you feel is expected of you
